How to confirm the correct length
- Check the printed part number: It’s typically printed in white lettering on the cable about 1–2 feet from the rack.
- Read the last two digits: The cable length is indicated by the final two digits of the part number.
- Example: SSC13415 = a 15 ft cable.
If the part number isn’t readable
- Remove the cable and measure the plastic cable jacket (in inches).
- Add 30 inches to your measurement.
- Round up to the nearest foot.
- Measure only the plastic jacket—do not include the metal connecting rod.
