Malibu created this oil to offer superior protection to Monsoon Series 5 and 6 engines. However, Malibu oil is also perfect for Malibu and Axis boats that have certain Indmar engines. If a boat contains a 2008-2011 Indmar engine or a 2012-2015 (GM) Indmar engine that calls for 5W30 oil, then Malibu's full synthetic oil is the perfect choice.
