1. Installing the USB Drive

1.1. Ensure the boat’s battery isolator (ISO) switch is turned to the “OFF” position.

1.2. Ensure no other external USB drives are plugged into the control module USB ports under

the dash or any other USB ports elsewhere on the boat.

1.3. Securely install the LightHouse Charts USB Drive into one of the control module USB ports

(see example below).

1.4. Turn the ISO switch to the “ON” position and press the “POWER” button on the dash.

2. Downloading Navigation Data

2.1. Once installed, the USB drive will automatically begin to download navigation data to the

control module. Please be aware of the following during the download process:

• There is no visual download indicator until the process is complete. Do not power down

the boat or remove the USB drive while navigation data is downloading (approximately

20 minutes). If the USB drive is unplugged while downloading, re-installing the USB

drive will completely restart the download process.

Once the navigation data has downloaded successfully, a Raymarine logo will be visible

in the bottom-left corner of the navigation app on the 8-in. screen (see example below);

if the Raymarine logo is not visible, the download is not yet complete.

3. After Downloading

3.1. Once the download is complete, the USB drive may be freely unplugged and re-installed

without re-downloading navigation data to the control module. However, the USB drive

must be plugged in for navigation charts to function.

3.2. When the USB drive is unplugged or has failed, the Raymarine logo will disappear from the

bottom-left corner, and the “Depth”, “Warning”, and “Navigation Aids” chart layers will

display as hidden (red eye symbols). All chart layers will instantly return when the USB

drive is re-installed.
