The Aku Wakesurfer was the first surfboard ever introduced by Phase Five. The Aku V2 is a fast, rail to rail, air boosting machine built for speed. The Phase Five Aku V2 Wakesurfer features a diamond bumped wing tail for optimum pivot and pop. It harnesses a nicely pulled in nose that enables aggressive carving on the wave without nose diving. The Aku V2 is glassed with our FLEXtec V2™ system for unmatched strength and durability. It is built with a twin FCS Fusion fin setup for an optimal blend of maneuverability and drive.

FlexTec V2 has been the staple construction technique in P5 surf style boards for the past few years. The FlexTec V2 layup schedule features a full Innegra bottom sheet with a carbon stringer along with a full Innegra top sheet combined with a carbon stringer and carbon vector netting. This combination of glass and epoxy resin provides an ultra strong surf style board that is built to outlast the competition.
